Linear is a joint type providing thrust when attaching from a Disk. It generates 2.7... Newtons per unit per kg of the parent object's mass. its backblast also moves loose objects.

Under normal circumstances an object can lift twice its own mass through a Linear joint at 54.4 units, with the set achieving 3.6735g at Normal gravity strength on 200 power.

Contrary to popular belief, only the parent object's mass affects a linear joint's output power. This means powerful thrusters are usually linked directly to heavy Parts. However, exerting too much force on a part can cause issues with both stability and structural integrity, making usage of extremely lightweight thrusters limited to either a high physics accuracy or relatively lightweight parent parts.
